The Knights of Columbus will be having another delicious breakfast Sunday, May 6th. Breakfast is served from 7-11am in the Msgr. Harris Center (MHC). Come and have breakfast with your fellow parishioners. All are invited. Cost is a donation.
The Catholic Church in Maryland is working with the Maryland Marriage Alliance to repeal legislation passed by the General Assembly to drastically redefine marriage in Maryland. Petition drives will be held the weekend on May 5th-6th. YOU MUST BE REGISTERED TO VOTE IN ORDER TO SIGN THE PETITION. You also must print your name as it appears on your voter registration. Plan to bring your voter registration card with you to the petition drive, or visit HERE to see how you registered.
May 5th and 6th, the Youth Group will be selling hanging flower baskets as a fundraiser for an upcoming trip to DC to visit the Basilica, Franciscan Monastery and the Convent. Flower sales will be on Saturday from 11am-3pm and after the 5pm Mass and Sunday after all of the Masses. The baskets will be selling for $15 each and will be sold outside of the Church (in the MHC foyer if it’s raining). Your support for our parish Youth Group is greatly appreciated. Great gift for Mom!
Join St. John’s for a night of faith and fun at a live CAT CHAT concert. Cat.Chat concerts are specifically geared for young families with kids (preK- grade 6). The songs are dynamic and packed with God’s Word and Catholic teachings that bring children into a refreshing experience of Catholicism. The concert is filled with powerful music, crowd participation, unicycling, juggling, yo-yos, prizes, good humor, prayer times and family fun. After the concert, the Cat.Chat family and Moses the Cat stick around to take photos, sign autographs and “chat” with the families. Doors open at 6pm (food is available for purchase) and the concert starts at 6:30pm on May 12th at St. John’s Church, Monsignor Harris Center. The concert is free to attend. Sunday May 13th - Annual May Procession and Crowning of the Statue of our Lady will take place directly at the conclusion of the 9am Mass on Mother's Day. Please join us for this moving tribute of fealty to our Lady as the second graders dress again in their First Communion Day finest to escort the May Queen and her court.

Join us for fellowship and fun at our St. John's Blue Crabs Spirit Night on Friday, May 18th. The game is at 7:05pm, followed by fireworks. Tickets are $13 each. We currently have seats in Section 7, but will get additional seats as we sell out.
