Apologetics Course Beginning Sept. 11th - Consider Attending!

An Apologetics Course will begin on Sunday, September 11th in the St. Jude Room immediately following the 9am Mass (from 10:05-11:20). Registration fee is $25 to cover the cost of books and materials.

Have you ever struggled with trying to explain or defend our Catholic Faith? How do you respond when someone asks you “have you been saved?” or “why do you worship Mary?” (we don’t by the way) or “why do you baptize babies when the Bible is clear that only adults should be baptized?” (wrong again) or when asked about another aspect of the Faith that is commonly misunderstood? Have you wondered what other religions/faiths believe and why some of them are so adamantly opposed to the Catholic Church? We’ll be tackling those types of questions and misconceptions in an Adult Apologetics Course that will be offered at the same time as Sunday morning Religious Education. Learn how to define and defend the Catholic Faith as we are all called to do through the Sacrament of Confirmation. If your children attend Sunday morning Religious Education, this is a great way to occupy your time while they’re in class. All adults are welcome. Ken Scheiber, a theology teacher at St. Mary’s Ryken, holds a master’s degree in theology and will be teaching this course.
