Parish Gift Store

Our parish gift store is open in the Monsignor Harris Center foyer on Sundays after each of the Masses. The store has a wide variety of religious items such as statues, rosaries, medals, crosses, bibles, pictures, etc. The items are great for your personal spiritual enrichment and gifts for special occasions. Stop in to visit the gift store. You are sure to find something you like! 

2011 Parish Picnic - Save the date!!!

It’ll be held on Sunday, August 14th from 10am – 6pm at Camp Maria in Leonardtown. We’ll start off with an outdoor Mass at 10am to be followed by food, swimming and games. There’ll be a lot of activities. Make a day of it.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School at St. John's will be held the week of July 11 - 15. This year the theme will be "A Wilderness Adventure Through the Sacraments" by Cat Chat. All children ages 4-11 are invited. For more information, please visit the website.

Community Dance

The Knights of Columbus will sponsor a community dance on Saturday, June 25th in the Monsignor Harris Center. Ballroom dance instruction will be from 7-8pm and dancing from 8-11pm. Dancing will be to recorded music.

Cost:
Adults $8 single, $15 couples
Students and Seniors $5 per person

Parish Council Members Sought

The Pastoral Advisory Council advises Father Ray on projects and activities for the overall good of St. John Francis Regis Church and St. John’s School. It also helps promote and grow the parish community in a spirit of openness and inclusiveness. Council members may be nominated by Father Ray or by any parish member in good standing, or they may nominate themselves. Nominees must be at least 18 years old, a registered parishioner here and a Catholic in good standing. There will be at least six openings on the council at the end of July for three-year terms. Call the rectory at 301-373-2281 to nominate someone to Father Ray, or for more information.

Family Night Fun!

Family Night in the Monsignor Harris Center is this Saturday, June 4th from 6:30pm until ???. The evening will be extremely flexible, but we’ll start off with a potluck dinner; so bring a dish, your children and any games you enjoy. Get to know your fellow parishioners while the children have fun wearing themselves out with games, activities and movies. All are welcome (children not required). Please pass the word and feel free to contact the parish office with any questions. Hope to see you there!
